Gobble! Gobble!

Happy Thanksgiving!  This week we learned about turkeys and Thanksgiving.  Mrs. Crystal and I enjoyed hearing what the kids were thankful for when doing some of our activities.  I myself am so thankful to have each and every child in our class.   Every single child has brought us so much joy and happiness.  We have giggled, cried and our hearts have melted as we have learned about your child.  We are so blessed to have the opportunity to spend time with your child every single week.

Look!  Hunter found the "T" puppet and showed it to the class!  This turtle is one of the new puppets we received with the Trike-A-Thon money you raised!  We have a puppet for each letter of the alphabet.  Thank you so much!

Charlotte was the Student of the Day on Thursday.

We really enjoyed singing and dancing to a new song this week!  We learned how to point to our heads, shoulders, knees and toes, and we did it really fast!  Ask your child to show you at home.  It was so fun!

During one of our learning centers on Thursday, we used our finger prints to make the correct number of feathers on each numbered turkey.

Here is Anna in our new puppet theatre!  She is holding the "B" puppet.  We are so excited to have new fun learning tools in our room!

Rayna and Jayda enjoy painting at the easel.

We continue to practice cutting with scissors at school.  It is very tricky, but we get better and better
each day we practice.

Look!  Gracie found some art paper in the art center and wrote her name all by herself!  Way to go Miss Gracie!

Check out our new play-dough scissors!
They are so much fun to use!

Anna wore the perfect shirt for school!  Gobble! Gobble!

Trey found the new magnetic letter puzzles in this center.  They were a hit!

On Friday, our class used play-dough and kitchen items to cook our very own pretend Thanksgiving dinner!

At the sensory table, we baked pies and breads using flour and water.  We really enjoyed cooking!

Jack was proud of his play-dough pie for the feast.

Hunter used different pretend knives to cut.

Mrs. Jaime visited our class on Friday and helped us paint our hands to make fun hand-print turkeys.

Charlotte joined in the Thanksgiving fun by also wearing a special shirt.  Adorable.

Another puppet show.  Wow, this is so much fun!

Hunter is so smart!  While playing in one of our centers he found a toy turkey!  He jumped up and down and  said, "T is for turkey! T is for turkey!"  We were all so proud!  Great job Hunter!

Thank you God for....

This is our new drying rack for artwork,
another new item we purchased for our classroom!

We giggled when reading our fun turkey poem.

Can you make the letter "T" by using your arms?

On Friday, Dane was our special Student of the Day.

We are so very thankful.
Thank you God for all of our blessings.

I must say.... I was tickled with Ben's answers.
Ben, you made my day!

We hope you have a fun, happy,
blessed, goody-filled Thanksgiving!

Leaves, Scarecrows and Fall!

We love dancing to our favorite letter songs at school.

Mrs. Kelly read the story, Scaredycrow and then we made scarecrows using our hands!

"L" is for "leaf" and "lizard".
"Big line, little line" is what we say when
we write the letter "L".
"Handwriting Without Tears" is a fun program we use to learn how to write letters and numbers.

Can you spot all of the numbers we have learned on the acorn necklace?

Wow!  Nate built two very tall towers!  Mrs. Kelly quickly took a picture before they fell.

A few of our darling scarecrows.
