Unique Me

This week's theme was "Unique Me".  We learned that God made each of us so special, that there is only one of us in the whole wide world.  Their faces were so sweet when we talked about how special each of them are.  We discussed how each person is different.  The kids enjoyed singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes", especially when we sang the song in a fast temp.  Ask your child to show you how to dance to the song.  I must say, it is a pretty good workout! Ha!

Nate was our "Student of the Day" on Thursday.  Thank you for allowing us to learn all about you!

We used different colors of markers to trace our names.  We called it "Rainbow Tracing".

We are very unique.  Do you know what color eyes you have?

Happy New Year!
In 2013 I want to learn how to _______ !

Cutting with dough scissors is one of our favorite activities in the fine motor center.

We worked together as a group to make a life-size Mrs. Kelly!
This was one of our favorite activities of the day!

Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!  We had a fun week packed full of activity!  We really enjoyed having special parent volunteers in our classroom this week.  Thank you so much to all who made our Christmas celebration so memorable!

What sweet friends.
Hunter brought Charlotte flowers for her birthday!

We made ornaments for us to give our family members as Christmas gifts.

We wrapped gifts in the sensory center.
It was fun to use tape and real wrapping paper!

Can you match each numeral to
the correct number of items?

J is for Jesus!

We enjoyed making reindeer food!

We used our little fingers to string beads on pipe cleaners for another pretty ornament.

Our beautiful new classroom rug finally arrived!  Mrs. Kelly played a fun game and jumped to each letter as we sang the ABC song.  She had to jump fast!

Now it is Charlotte's turn!

Rayna was Student of the Day!

Happy Birthday Charlotte!

Time for a little dancing fun...

We love singing the color song.

During the Christmas party, Mrs. Trina painted our feet to make an angel craft!  It was so fun.

For our snack, we made snowmen out of bananas, pretzels and chocolate chips.  Thank you Mrs. Laura for helping us create such fun treats!

We even used our hand prints to make beautiful snowmen ornaments for our families.

Thank you Mrs. Robin for helping us make Rudolph treats with candy canes.  We even read a story about Rudolph and pinned a shiny special nose on Rudolph.

We are so blessed to have one another.
Merry Christmas to all!
