Do you like green eggs and ham? Oh, the things we did think this week while learning about Dr. Seuss! We made red and white hats that look just like “The Cat in the Hat”, painted hats red and white and learned an AB pattern, counted goldfish crackers and placed them in matching numbered fishbowls (then we ate the fish), learned about rectangles, found the hidden letter “Y” in a search and find puzzle, practiced cutting lines, a rectangle and the letter Y, created a “y”ellow “Y” using “y”arn and “y”ellow paper, played a shape matching game and memory game using Dr. Seuss images, practiced hand-eye coordination with dotters, listened to some of Mrs. Kelly’s favorite Dr. Seuss books, and made green eggs and ham!
Working with dough is always a hit!
Look at all of these Dr. Seuss books!
Not only does Mrs. Kelly like to use her imagination and dress as certain characters, but our friends in class like to do the same!
Thank you Mrs. Jaime for helping us learn on Thursday!
We love these giant numbers!
Each day at circle time, we use finger puppets to create the numbers in the air while we sing the "Numeral Song".
Rectangle show-and-tell was a huge success!
Thank you Eden for being a wonderful "Student of the Day"!
We worked together as a large group to create our Dr. Seuss hats.
Yay for Dr. Seuss!
Do you like green eggs and ham?
Thank you Lola for being our fun "Student of the Day"!
Remembering the color "gray" isn't easy. But Eden helped us tremendously on this day because her outfit was full of the color gray! Thank you Eden for helping us remember the color gray!
