December.... Full of learning, fun, family, friends and Christmas!

December was full of fun learning activities to celebrate baby Jesus.  Here is a picture of Eden painting one of several handmade ornaments we created for our parents for Christmas.

Thank you for coming in to school to help us make ornaments with Earth and Fire Pottery.  We love to see family members and friends share in our learning experiences at school.

We have been saving samples of our hard work for the portfolios we will send home in the spring.  Look at how well we are holding our pencils while writing our names!

One of the fun items we received from the fundraiser is this super neat squishy sensory pad for the light table.

We also were able to purchase this exciting magnetic color sorting game.

The wooden color puzzles we were able to purchase are a class favorite.

Check out these little "Santas".

Aren't these new blocks awesome?
The boys loved these, especially when they made bicycles out of them!  Great job!

Great job on creating such fun and imaginative turkeys for the homework assignment!  They are terrific!

During learning station time, we work individually at specific centers to learn special skills.

Can you match the gingerbread men according to the shapes and styles of their buttons and clothing?

Using our little fingers to hang ornaments can be a tricky task.

The light table is a classroom favorite.
Especially when we can use our pincer grip to grasp the small glowing pieces.

Here is Cooper with TWO bikes!  Wow!

Placing and gluing the pom-poms to the tiny circle on the tree is also tricky, but we did a fabulous job!

Dear Santa.....

Mrs. Karen loves to snuggle and read stories to the kids.  On pajama day (Polar Express day) we were warm and cozy in class.  Mrs. Kelly said she wishes every day was pajama day!

Can you make a train out of the letters in your name?

Choo-Choo!  All Aboard!
The entire school gathered together for hot chocolate and to listed to Mrs. Kelly read The Polar Express.  We even placed our chairs in the room and imagined we were riding on a real train.

Look at this really neat train Mrs. Paula created for her class!
We were able to have a turn riding in the train at the end of the day.  We loved it!

Minds In Motion
We were able to purchase some really new and exciting items for our Minds in Motion room from the fundraiser money we received!  Here are several pictures showing each new activity/station in action!
