Hello Friends! We had a really fun week learning about pets. The class made a chart showing the number of cats and dogs we have as a group. We learned that our class has 9 dogs and 6 cats. The kids have been practicing tracing their names and are doing such a great job. We reviewed squares, circles and triangles this week, and the kids are pros! One of our favorite parts of this week was role playing a veterinarian's office. The kids enjoyed writing prescriptions for the pets, listened to heartbeats and filled out paperwork on each pet. It was so great! We painted using pet shapes, stamped out d-o-g and c-a-t with our really cool letter stamps, shared names of our pets with our friends, and learned that pets need food, water, exercise and lots of love. We also learned about the letter "K" and practiced writing Ks and our names in shaving cream! We have so much fun at preschool and we love learning!
