Presidents!

Our new class pet, "Mrs. Kelly's Kangaroo" went on his very first trip this week with Nate.  Here are a couple pictures of Nate sharing his journal entries with the class.  "Joey", otherwise known as "Roo" had a fabulous time at Nate's house.  He even ate popcorn and went to see a movie about butterflies!

While learning about Presidents and the U.S.A., the kids made posters about themselves to encourage voters to vote for them.  Mrs. Crystal helped candidates write their first and last names on the posters.

We made a GIANT classroom flag with 13 stripes - with our handprints!  Wow.  The kids really enjoyed this activity and the completed piece is really a sight to see!
Check out these photos...

Look at these amazing "Abraham Lincoln" Lunch Bunchers!

Did you know that George Washington is on a quarter and Abraham Lincoln is on a penny?  We made coin rubbings of these two Presidents and it was just like magic!

Check out how big and smart our class is!  We all sat at one giant table for this large group activity and these little learners did so well!  I am so proud of them for paying attention to directions and listening.  Wow!

This week we learned about the letter "Y".
We are almost to the end of the alphabet!  Cool!
