Dental Health is one of our favorite weeks of the year. Check out all of the fun we had while learning about teeth!
Thank you to Dr. Chris for visiting our school to teach us about dental health.
Mrs. Kelly taught us how to sing her favorite dental song "Brush, Brush, Brush Your Teeth" while actually brushing her teeth! It was really funny.
Hunter wore a special shirt for our activities; it had a monkey with huge teeth on it! It was so cool, we used our giant toothbrush to practice brushing teeth the right way! Thanks Hunter!
Dr. Anna and Dr. Nate are busy scraping all of those nasty sugar bugs out of this patient. Yuck!
Dr. Nate is brushing this giant tooth with white paint and a toothbrush at the easel.
At this dental health center, we used toothbrushes to brush all of the sugar bugs off of the teeth.
At the sensory table, we really enjoyed using water, tootbrushes and real toothpaste to brush the babies' teeth. Remember, only use a pea size amount of toothpaste when brushing.
We have been learning about things that are the same vs. different. Can you find the item that is different and circle it while holding your pencil correctly?
Dr. Elsie used her pincer grip to hold the dental floss and floss the germs out of these pretend teeth.
Sorry about the sideways photos!
I can't figure out how to rotate the pictures on this program.
Campbell was a great patient while Dr. Kelly brushed the teeth on his special shirt.
We practiced cutting with scissors again this week while cutting the bristles on our giant toothbrushes.
Each day we incorporate a gross motor activity into our lessons. You will see more examples of this in our new building when we learn in our "Minds In Motion" room. This funny gross motor dance is a class favorite.
Mrs. Kelly makes us laugh when she dances and sings. Here are two friends showing us how to brush and floss our teeth while we sang "Brush, Brush, Brush Your Teeth".
Some foods are healthy for your teeth and some are not. During circle time, we discussed which foods make teeth "happy" and which make teeth "sad".

Check out these friends writing their first and last names on giant toothbrushes. Can you believe they are writing their LAST names? I am so proud of this special class!
